We are delighted to welcome Hugh Baker to Pearson Ham Group as he takes up the newly created role of UK Managing Director for our consulting business.
In a career spanning 30 years, Hugh has worked in fintech, banking, engineering and consulting, and across the value chain from marketing to operations to technology. 8 years of that was spent at HSBC where he built the internal consulting team Design & Initiation into a global service supporting all business lines and regions with 120 staff across six offices, filling the gap between strategic intent and the execution of transformation. He was also a consultant with Booz Allen for 12 years, initially for consumer and retail clients before transitioning to financial services.
Hugh commented on his appointment “I have been struck by the quality of Pearson Ham Group’s team, and their ability to deliver truly differentiated pricing advice. They combine the science of deep analytical insight with the artistry of creative commercial approaches, and use the result to deliver tangible value to clients through real changes in their pricing and commercial models. I am very excited to be given the opportunity to lead such a talented team here in London and look forward to helping our clients find innovative ways to grow their revenue and margins”.
Tim Ham, CEO of Pearson Ham Group says “Hugh joining the team represents a big step forward for Pearson Ham Group as we continue our growth journey. Following an extensive search, it was clear that Hugh was going to be a great appointment for the role of UK Managing Director, both in terms of team fit and aligning with our company values, as well as being able to deliver on our future ambitions of the business. Hugh brings with him a great mix of both consulting and leadership experience, and I look forward to working closely with him as we continue to grow Pearson Ham Group.”
